Birthdays and Anniversaries
BusyContacts tracks the dates stored on your contacts — including birthdays, anniversaries, death anniversaries, and any other dates you've recorded — and can surface them in two ways: directly inside BusyContacts via the Upcoming Events feature, and inside BusyCal as calendar events.
Upcoming Events
BusyContacts can automatically group contacts with upcoming dates at the top of your contact list, making it easy to see at a glance who has a special date coming up — without leaving the app. This includes birthdays, anniversaries, death anniversaries, and any other dates stored on a contact.
To enable this feature, go to BusyContacts > Settings > Views and turn on Group Upcoming Events. Use the dropdown next to the setting to choose how far ahead to look (e.g. Next 7 Days). You can also use the sub-checkboxes to control which date types are included: Birthdays, Anniversaries, Death Anniversaries, and Other Dates. Any contact with a matching date within the selected window will be promoted to the top of the list under an Upcoming section.

This is the primary way to stay on top of upcoming dates without switching to a calendar app.
Displaying Birthdays & Anniversaries in BusyCal
You can also display the Birthdays and Anniversaries of your contacts in BusyCal.
In BusyCal, select BusyCal > Settings > General, and select the Show Birthdays calendar and Show Anniversaries calendar checkboxes.

A new Birthdays calendar and Anniversaries calendar will appear in BusyCal's left sidebar under the CONTACTS heading and all contacts in BusyContacts that include Birthdays or Anniversaries will be displayed as Banners in BusyCal.

Show Dates in Calendar
There may be some birthdays that you'd prefer not to see in BusyCal. This can certainly be the case if you have dozens of vague acquaintances whose birthdays are cluttering up your calendar.

Note: The Show Dates checkbox will only appear in BusyContacts while you are in Edit mode, and you must enable the Show Dates in Calendar field under Settings > Info Panel, or add that field to a specific card using the add field popup. The option will also appear in non-edit mode if you have unchecked "Show Dates" for a specific contact.
