WAN Sync is no longer working
Recent updates to macOS have broken WAN sync which uses a legacy communication protocol.
This is also true for older copies of BusyCal. WAN Sync may no longer works on the more recent updates of macOS. We have decided to deprecate and discontinue support for WAN sync as supporting it is no longer feasible.
If you share local calendars / address books for security and privacy reasons, an alternative would be to setup a local CalDAV / CardDAV server on the host machine and use BusyCal / BusyContacts to connect to this instead.
If you otherwise use iCloud / Exchange / Google to sync your calendars, it would be easier to host and share these calendars there.
